Вчера на сайта linuxnews излезе нова, че книгата Linux Kernel in a nutshell, която се разпространява от O’Reily е достъпна за свободно сваляне под Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 license. В книгата се описват основни стъпки при конфигуриране, компилиране и инсталиране на ядрото, като е отделена глава, и за някои нетипични конфигурации. Ето и какво казва, авторът Greg Kroah-Hartman:
